  1. DO NOT put your name on any pages of your entry: your name, phone number, and email address, along with the title of your entry go on the COVER PAGE.
  2. All contest entries must be printed in TIMES NEW ROMAN or ARIAL 12-point type and must be DOUBLE SPACED as a WORD document
  3. Use one-inch (2.54com) margins all around
  4. Indent each paragraph (except the first) 3 to 5 spaces
  5. The work's title and page number should appear at the top of each page
  6. Entries must be easy to read. Use proper grammar and punctuation, and correct spelling
  7. Do NOT use fancy or script fonts for your text, except when stating character thoughts which must be in italics
  8. DO NOT include illustrations or pictures


  • All entries must be original works by the entrant, in English
  • All rights to the story remain the property of the author
  • Entries must not have been previously published in the professional media
